Bridge Steet

The Platte River Valley was being settled quickly. In 1885, the Carbon County Commissioners decided a safe and efficient crossing of the Platte was a necessity. Thus, Carbon County build an Iron Bridge over the Platte cementing Saratoga's place as the cultural and economic center of the Valley. The Bridge has been replaced several times, always in the same location, hence the modern "Bridge Street."
